Unfortunately, we have to make the difficult decision today not to renew his contract with the team. I want to wish Pierre the best of luck with the pursuit of his career." Appointed goaltending coach in 2009, Groulx worked for four seasons with the Canadiens after spending the previous four years with the Florida Panthers.
